Travelling to Košice is very easy. You can get here by plane, train or bus. When you are a student, it is very convenient to travel by train, as with ISIC cards domestic and in-country trains are free. You are also eligible for the reduced-fare bus ticket.
You can arrive to Košice directly to Košice Airport or via Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest or Krakow airport.
To travel between the airport and the city of Košice you can take bus number 23, which runs approximately once every hour in both directions. The bus leaves in front of the airport terminal at the bus stop marked ‘Letisko’. The bus takes you to the centre of the city and then continues to the Košice bus and train station terminals. Here you have the option to transfer to other public city buses operated by Košice Public Transport Service (DPMK), or you can leave the city by taking a regional bus or train. Travel time from the airport to the city centre is 20 minutes on average. Like in most airports, taxis await you, ready to take you anywhere you want to go. The price for a taxi ride from the airport to the city centre or your hotel is approximately 10 EUR. A taxi to or from the airport should never cost more than 15 EUR. You can also rent a car. At the airport, you have plenty of options to rent a car; you can opt for Buchbinder, Avis, Budget, DK Auto, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt, and Enterprise. The counters of the rental agencies can be found inside the airport terminal. To rent a car you need to be at least 20 years old. However, the age range is different for every company, so we strongly advise you to get informed about the age requirements beforehand.

From the bus stop “Letisko” take bus 23 terminating at “Staničné námestie”. Take off at the stop “Moldavská obchodné centrá”. From this stop Jedlíková dormitories are a 9-minute walk. There is also a possibility to take another bus and take off at the stop “OC Optima” which is the closest bus stop to the dormitories.
From the airports of the neighbouring countries, there is a possibility to take a shuttle bus, train or bus to Košice.

Railway and bus terminals are located next to each other in Staničné Square. There is directly a public tram and bus stops in front of the railway terminal.
