Except for restaurants offered by the city of Košice, TUKE has its own canteens and places where our students can have lunch or coffee break.
Our canteen provides two ways of eating. Ordering a meal through the TUKE ordering system the day before by 13:00, or on a given day by 8:00 with the possibility of choosing only Menu 1, or without ordering by the system Choose and eat the combination of meals is up to the caterer. The menu includes daily lunch salads, vegan and vitality meals. The kitchen cooks with fresh ingredients and this is a guarantee of quality.
One canteen is located at dorm Boženy Nemcovej 1 and it is on the TUKE campus. The other is at Jedlíkova 7 located in Jedlíkova dorms campus. Then we have also a canteen at Vysokoškolská 4, Nemcová 9, and Urbánková 2. In Prešov, there is a canteen at Budovateľská 31 dorm.
The most famous café place on TUKE campus is Libreso at the University library on the ground floor. This café offers cafe and pastry services + fast food in the university library. Sale of hot and cold drinks, desserts, sweet and savoury pastries, cold. Packaged meals, pizza, bagels, salads, sweets. You can eat and drink there or you can take it with you as well.
Another place is Pizza Forte at Jedlíková 7. This place is perfect for people living in Jedlikova dorms. It is a fast-food restaurant offering hot and cold meals, drinks and complementary food products with the possibility of pleasant seating in the atrium. Own production and sale of baguettes, pizzas and sweet and savoury pastries. Sale of dairy, mince products, pastries, confectionery, hot and cold drinks + basic food goods.
The thresholds for sponsorships at TUKE are as follows:
If a student does not take a meal on a particular day, he can take it (e.g. in the menu box) on another day. However, a maximum of 4 meals can be subsidised per day.
